Industries manager

As an industries manager, you‘ll: 

• ensure the smooth running of our workshops
• oversee all activities in the workshops and land-based activities
• manage, supervise, and motivate staff and prisoners
• work with stakeholders to upskill prisoners and aid their rehabilitation
• monitor performance and oversee workshop budgets  
• ensure work complies with health and safety legislation and quality management standards
• liaise with Prison Industries and New Futures Network to ensure workshop activity is purposeful
• be responsible for ensuring production meets contractual requirements

Pension:
As part of the Civil Service pension scheme, you will receive a percentage of your salary based on your contributions and membership period for the pension scheme.

Annual leave:
You will receive 25 days paid annual leave, rising to 30 days after 10 years of service.

To work as an industries manager you’ll need to: 

• have experience in industry or a commercial production environment
• experience of managing a workforce, with strong communications, persuasion and influencing skills
• have a good knowledge of managing orders and supervising quality output assessed to ISO9001 Standards
• be familiar with workshop safety practices
