CASE STUDY
Charis Caulfield, Team Leader
I have worked for CICA for almost 7 years and held a variety of roles. I started as a Decision Maker and I really enjoyed the self-performing aspect of this. From this, I have done more specialised decision making, working on review cases and historical cases. More recently, I have moved and taken on a Casework Team Leader role.
As a team leader with CICA, my background in decision-making has helped immensely where I can support my staff with advice on progressing cases, supporting and making calls to customers as well as managing any concerns raised.
Within my career journey I have found many great opportunities within CICA, and I have been lucky enough to be involved in mentoring and assisting with consolidating new entrants. With my background in decision making, this was very rewarding and I really enjoyed supporting new staff into their roles.
A large part of my day, involves dealing with staff and supporting the decision-making process. This I find interesting and enjoy that no two days are the same. It can be challenging being a team leader however it has provided the opportunity to further develop myself with the department.
I would recommend CICA as a great place to work that offers opportunities to hone your skills and confidence within different roles.
