Important salary details:
New recruits to the Civil Service joining MoJ are expected to join at the band minimum.
Existing Civil Servants applying on promotion, will usually be appointed on the salary minimum of the new pay band, or receive an increase of 10 percent on the current base salary, whichever is higher (This is restricted to the pay maximum of the new band).
Reserve List:
HMCTS run a Reserve List, where candidates who are unsuccessful at interview by only a few points, can be offered other roles, at the same band, for up to 12 months. You will be able to view your status via the application screen. If you have been added to the Reserve List, your status will show either Merit or Reserve list.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for collating and updating the data on start dates for all DTS vacancies, and reporting to SMG (Senior Management Group) and finance and other stakeholders monthly.
Support the design, development and embedding of appropriate tools, guidance, and templates to support business areas in DTS to deliver their workforce plans.
Work with the DTS Workforce Planning Manager to build and maintain a network of business contacts to offer workforce planning support regarding workforce planning.
Promote best practice and ensure internal workforce planning practices and guidance are up to date to encourage alignment and maturity across DTS.
Support PSR (Public Sector Resourcing) contract process adhering to timelines and acting as relevant IT system (Fieldglass) administrator for the submission and management of requirements.
Provide clarity and analytical interpretation of the workforce and payroll position and identify potential financial risks, mitigating actions and opportunities and providing initial challenge as appropriate.
Responsible for providing time critical monthly reports, maintaining data accuracy, including risks where appropriate.
Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
Governance and assurance administration of the DTS business case process including:
scheduling of regular ongoing weekly business case approval meetings,
reviewing business case submission against Ardoq (IT System), TOM (Target Operating Model) or SMG approvals
reviewing quality of business case submission against required submission criteria
manage submissions to redeployment team and once cleared ensure appropriate communication with recruiting manager and HMCTS recruitment team.
liaison point between recruitment, business operations Governance and Assurance and DTS recruiting managers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of submission of new starter forms.
Design, publish and maintain workforce are content within DTS virtual hub.
Provide support to the DTS Capability Manager during high work volume periods including but not limited to supporting delivery of generalist programme campaigns & awareness events and budget support to raise and track PO’s (purchase orders)
The direct team are geographically dispersed so there is a requirement to attend the teams’ strategic face to face meetings every month as a minimum. In addition, attendance at the wider Business Operations face to face meetings held quarterly in either Birmingham Manchester London is required.
Contribute to the booking and chairing of team meetings and business operations meetings and content for meetings on a rota basis. Prepare and present content as required for those meetings and the DTS staff forum.
As part of the DTS People and Professions team 2 yearly Job rotation requires HEOs to possess a certain level of versatility and adaptability to perform well in different roles, subject to necessary capability support being provided.
Skills & Experience
Essential Criteria:
Experience of working with excel and complex data sets, using excel to quickly analyse and interpret data to an advanced level.
Understanding of GDD (Government Digital and Data) as set out in https://ddat-capability-framework.service.gov.uk/
Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to understand, present and communicate information and data from a wide range of sources using excel, PowerPoint and MS Word in a succinct manner.
Experience of working with data and the production of visuals to influence and inform decision making.
A sound knowledge of the employee life cycle and workforce management process through direct delivery or utilisation.
Experience of communicating at all levels, including working with sensitive information of a confidential nature.
A proven track record of achieving results within a set timeframe.
