We’re recruiting for two Supplier Relationship Officers here at Justice Digital, Data and Science to be part of our warm and collaborative LAA Digital team.

About the Function
As a function, we provide digital services, technology and support for the digital transformation of prisons, probation and wider justice system through:
Fixing the basics, providing modern and secure technology to users across the department.
Making things more efficient by providing access to justice through simpler services such as applying for legal aid online
Thinking about the whole system - working with colleagues across the justice system to design and deliver services that really work for those that use them
Building diverse, inclusive and brilliant teams to reflect the users that we serve
Supplier Relationship Officers play a key role in our department, making sure we’re managing our 3rd party supplier effectively, tracking contract spend and ensuring renewals and retenders are completed on time. They make sure we’re following all our approval processes and support our department to procure the services we need, when we need them and within the budget, we have available to us.
The successful applicants don’t need to be an expert on our commercial and approvals processes. We’re looking for enthusiastic, proactive and motivated individuals, used to working in a busy environment, who can collaborate well with both peers and senior stakeholders, and are willing to learn.

Scheduling and managing regular supplier management meetings, ensuring agendas are appropriate and suppliers are held to account
Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations, KPIs and SLAs.
Maintaining relationships with MoJ Commercial Team to ensure all contracts remain up to date and renewal/ exit strategies are tracked and action is taken in a timely manner
Building and maintaining positive relationships with senior stakeholders within LAA Digital
Responding to supplier and stakeholder queries.
Working in collaboration with colleagues in our finance teams to track spend against commercial cover in place.
Ensuring appropriate approvals are in place for all spend
Supporting administrative processes to ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time.
Tracking and managing licensing costs and renewals
Supporting the activity required to procure and pay for services

Essential

Base salary for this role is from: National: £35,335 - £37,847 London: £40,014 - £42,859
New entrants to the Civil Service joining the MoJ are expected to start at the minimum of the pay band.
Existing Civil Servants moving on a level transfer will retain their current base salary or move to the minimum of the pay band for the role, whichever is higher.
Existing Civil Servants who are promoted will either move to the bottom of the new grade’s pay band or receive a 10% uplift, whichever provides the greater increase.

Stage 2 - Interviews:
Successful candidates who meet the required standard will then be invited to a panel interview held via Microsoft Teams. At interview stage, you will be assessed against the following Success Profile elements - Experience and the following Behaviours:

Appointments are made strictly in merit order.
