Job Title: Personal Executive Secretary (PES) to the Regional Tribunal Judge Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal (Bradford)

Background
The Regional Tribunal Judge PES position works within the judicial listing and booking team. This team provides important and fulfilling work supporting senior Judiciary. The work involves a certain level of diplomacy and confidentiality, as you will assist in handling personnel records. Please note that this is an office-based role in Bradford, and there will be a requirement of travel occasionally. This is an opportunity to gain transferable skills in new functions, learn from others and do so in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of functions in the Mental Health Tribunal.
Provide the necessary secretariat support to the Regional Judge, including administrative, organisational and diary management functions.
Duties
Managing RTJ diary and processing correspondence.
Confidential work for RTJ.
Respond confidently and accurately to general correspondence, telephone queries, emails etc. to a high standard often without direction.
Maintain accurate records, including updating spreadsheets, and filing system.
Sending Circulars to all Judges and Members.
Admin support prior to and during panel member residential training events - various locations.
Arranging meetings at the request of the RTJ, compiling agendas, and attending meetings to take minutes.
Maintaining a B/F system.
Ordering judicial stationery.
Ordering new/replacement technology (including laptops, phones, mifi devices, etc.).
Assisting with provision of accommodation for DTJs.
Maintaining local Judicial office holder's records.
Responding to colleague / judicial queries.
Arranging suitable travel and accommodation in line with the relevant policy and budgetary constraints.
Triage / sending out of post tribunal / named judge files using tracker.
Familiarity with, or ability to acquire familiarity with, specialised internal databases.
Arranging regional Tribunal User Group (TUG) and taking the minutes.
Reporting to a Band D Operational Team Leader.
Work with the Chamber Presidents Office where necessary.
Produce diaries for all Salaried Judges to assist with effective listing.
Maintain a rota for Salaried Judges coming into venues.
Other Duties
The post holder is required to work in a flexible way and undertake any other duties reasonably requested by line management which are commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this post.
