HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is responsible for the administration of criminal, civil and family courts and tribunals in England and Wales. The Key purpose of the role is to


Working closely with the Higher Executive Officers of the Kings Bench Division and Administrative Court, Operation Manager and teams across the division to ensure the effective allocation of cases in a busy and fast paced working environment. The post holder will be required to organise and plan the itineraries of the High Court Judges and Deputy High Court Judges who sit in the Kings Bench Division & Administrative Court Office. In addition, the post holder will be required to process other administrative, HR and governance duties. The post holder should have good communication skills, be efficient and is able to prioritise their own work as well as their team’s work, performance and training.

The post holder is required to work in a flexible way and undertake any other duties reasonably requested by the line management which are commensurate with the end level or responsibility of this post.


Operational Delivery in HMCTS


The role is part of the operational delivery profession. Operational delivery professionals are outward face of government, providing essential services to the public in a variety of roles. They work in many different departments and agencies across the breadth of the UK, delivering service to customers. New recruits to the Civil Service joining MoJ are expected to join at the band minimum. These operational roles are customer facing, requiring successful applicants to be office based to provide HMCTS services to the public. Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week. Whilst the role is full time only, HMCTS operates a flexible approach to working hours to suit both individual and business needs.
