Existing Civil Servants applying on promotion, will usually be appointed on the salary minimum of the new pay band, or receive an increase of 10 percent on the current base salary, whichever is higher (This is restricted to the pay maximum of the new band).

Reserve List:
HMCTS run a Reserve List, where candidates who are unsuccessful at interview by only a few points, can be offered other roles, at the same band, for up to 12 months. Job Description:
We’re looking for an Associate Product Manager - eJudiciary to join our Judicial, RCJ & HQ DTS Team, to support the ongoing development and improvement of some of our digital products, including ceFile & eJudiciary. This role will work alongside experienced Product Managers and is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills in this area.
The post holders will be assigned their own workstreams and contribute to our organisation wide digital roadmap, taking ownership of problems and prioritising effectively to find solutions. They will be part of an agile, multidisciplinary team, working across quite a complex digital estate. They will need to overcome obstacles and manage dependencies as well as think strategically to prioritise work that balances user needs, business requirements and technical constraints.
They will need to be able to take a user-centred approach to product development, and it will be their job to identify and prioritise improvements to our digital products and services.
They will be asked to carry out user surveys, as well as using analytics and optimisation tools to identify potential product improvements.
The post holder will work closely with our technical teams to make sure we effectively integrate our digital products with supporting systems. The post holder will need to develop skills in technical problem solving and build good working relationships with technical and non-technical colleagues. The post holder will be responsible for configuration management within the suit of RCJ, Judicial & JQ Products.
Key Responsibilities:
Work alongside an agile, multidisciplinary team to build and iteratively improve high-quality digital products and services, supporting a user-centred approach to continuous improvement.
Work with suppliers and stakeholders within Judicial, RCJ & HQ and external teams to facilitate delivery of high-quality outputs, on time and within budget using an open and transparent approach while ensuring that we get excellent value for money. Identify and report on risks and remove obstacles to delivery.
Document and prioritise user stories, based on user research, analytics and an understanding of technology and technical constraints. Trouble-shoot and problem solve, considering the broader context of complex systems and infrastructure, and opinions of key stakeholders, reaching a prompt resolution.
Keep up to date with changes to user preferences and behaviours and develop an understanding of how these changes might help us improve DTS digital products and services, making sure that qualitative and quantitative data underpins prioritisation and our approach to delivery. • Set measurable goals for our products and report against these to demonstrate progress against stated benefits.
Work with the Product Team to set clear strategies and objectives for the products and services our team are responsible for.
Manage and prioritise a backlog for your workstreams, balancing user needs and business requirements, writing clear and detailed user stories, briefing our agencies on technical requirements and making decisions based on evidence and data.
Develop excellent working relationships with team members and stakeholders, taking the time to understand their needs and concerns, and collaborating with them to deliver outcomes that provide outstanding user experiences while supporting our targets.
Take opportunities to regularly communicate and interact with staff, helping to clarify goals and activities and the links between these and Departmental strategy.
Recognise, respect and reward the contribution and achievements of others.
Establish relationships with a range of stakeholders to support delivery of business outcomes.
Essential Criteria:
Developing, managing and configuration of digital products or services.
Experience of managing a group of wide-ranging stakeholders, ideally with conflicting needs and interests.
Able to demonstrate an understanding of the different disciplines involved in the delivery of a digital product or service, including development, user experience, content design, performance analysis and user research.
Experience in project management, preferably in an agile environment.
Previous experience of juggling multiple tasks and multiple projects at the same time.
A creative thinker, with the ability to analyse and balance user needs with business requirements and technical constraints.
Good understanding of technology development practices, and the ability to translate technical language and concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and vice versa.
Excellent attention to detail.
Effective verbal, written and visual communication skills.
Desirable Criteria:
Experience of using a range of agile methodologies to successfully deliver products and projects.
Experience in developing websites or products with a content management system.
Experience of developing testing and release plans for digital products.
Experience in budgeting and financial management.
An understanding of sustainable development principles and how to avoid the build-up of technical debt.
An understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines accessibility guidelines.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, proactively and with versatility in responding to changing circumstances is essential. You will be expected to take ownership and constructively challenge technical designs, supplier delivery processes, product choice and present solutions at forums such as Technical Design Authority.
