Performance Officer
Summary
The Performance Officer role will work as part of the Performance and Quality team to support the West Midlands Probation region and individual Probation Delivery Units to deliver against national service level performance targets and support operational delivery in line with National Standards.
There is a significant technical element to the role and the ideal candidate will need to be comfortable using a range of data sources including Microsoft Excel and Power BI to create, analyse and present data.
In this role you will be required to
Have a good understanding of probation service performance metrics and processes.
Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge required with demonstrable Excel skills preferred including the writing of complex formulas.
Hands on experience and knowledge of Power Platform components, including Power BI or willing to develop knowledge in this area.
Ability to use existing Excel and Power BI reports to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Create tables and charts from raw data in Excel.
An ability to develop and utilise data reports to identify trends and recommend action to maintain and enhance performance.
Attend performance meetings and provide guidance and updates on any performance initiatives.
Provide recommendations and support for the delivery of effective processes
Have good written and verbal communication skills with an ability to present complex information in an accessible way
Build effective working relationships with colleagues in other teams.
Working Arrangements
The location base of this post is flexible, by agreement, at any office within the West Midlands division. You will be required to travel across the region, with particular responsibility for a number of Probation Delivery Units (PDU) and other functional lead areas as business needs dictate.
